Due Dates

The 2021 Mars Rover Celebration will be a completely online competition. Rules have been updated to allow for social distancing.

  1. A physical prototype is not required.
  2. Students may use digital resources to create their entry and presentation for judging.

General Registration

Adult Sponsors complete the registration process in order for the organizers to determine how many projects will be entered into the competition and in what category. There is no cost for registration and Student Team information does not need to be entered on this due date.

Student Team Electronic Project Submission

Adult Sponsors submit the completed Student Team project electronically via a FlipGrid weblink. FlipGrid is a free online platform that supports student collaboration, project revisions and educator review prior to submission.*

Student Team Electronic Project Submission Due Date: April 2, 2021 Extended

Awards Ceremony

The Awards Ceremony will be held on April 17, 2021 in an online format. A link to the ceremony will be posted on the Mars Rover Website. Participants will be able to view the ceremony beginning April 17th, but the link will remain on the site for those who would like to view it after that date.

Trophies will be delivered to participating schools and will then be distributed at the discretion of the Teacher or Adult Sponsor.
